SOMA Relieve Muscle Pain

SOMA is the brand, also being sold by the brand named Random. Carisoprodol is the formula prescribed as a skeletal muscle relaxant. It is not prescribed alone, rather physical therapy also aids the patient. If the person experiences any pain due to strain and sprain after a muscle injury then he has prescribed this drug. Some People also misuse the drug as they become addictive. Well, it is advised to use just for a short time, because its long term effectiveness is not evident.

It is a muscle relaxant and is categorized as a schedule IV drug because of its potential for abuse. It is also somewhere categorized under schedule II drug with the exception of a combination product with codeine. It is so under the Louisiana Uniform Controlled Substances Law. It works as a muscle relaxer as it contains active ingredients that essentially the pain sensations between the body nerves and brain. It does not directly relieve the pain, rather acts as a muscles relaxant.

IT Maybe A Habit-Forming Medicine:

This medicine is a habit-forming medicine. Avoid sharing this drug with any other person. Misusing habit-forming medicine can cause addiction, overdose or death.

Side Effects:

Emergency medical help should be called if you have any signs of an allergic reaction to SOMA.

  • Hives
  • Difficult breathing

The usual effects include mild to moderate euphoria or dysphoria. Its effect is found aggressive in other cases, those individuals suffered the full spectrum of sedatives.

Common Side effects of SOMA:

Following are the common side effects observed;

  • Drowsiness
  • Dizziness
  • Headache

Stop The Drug!!

Stop your medication if you experience below symptoms;

  • Seizure
  • High level of serotonin in your body, agitation, hallucinations, sweating, fever, shivering, increased heart rate, stiffed muscles, twitching, coordination loss, vomiting, nausea, and diarrhea.

Recommended Dosage:

The recommended Carisoprodol Dosage is 250 mg to 350 mg thrice a day and also at bedtime. The maximum duration recommended for SOMA is up to two or three weeks.

Don’t Drive your car if you took a dosage. If you want to perform any activity then avoid SOMA at that instant. You can never quit the medicine on your own. You must consult your doctor before stopping the medication. You may need to cut dosage time by time till it cuts to no dosage

How to manage missed doses?

If you forget to take the dose on time and the dose gets missed, do not take two doses at once. It can harm your health. Always consult the doctor in that čase. It is better to take medicine as soon as you remember.

Contraindicatio:

There are some medicines who can create complications when used along with other drugs. Some of them can affect the blood levels of other taken drugs. If you are taking any other medicine for seizure then ask your doctor before taking SOMA.

If you take SOMA with other medicines then it could cause your sleepiness. It can cause breathing difficulties. It can produce dangerous side effects that might be fatal later. Some Vitamins, herbal products and other medications over the Counter can be dangerous. Always seek your doctor’s advice in such cases.

SOMA should not be used by any patient who has porphyria, which is a genetic enzyme disorder and causes symptoms that can affect the skin or nervous system. Any person allergic to Carisoprodolor meprobamate must avoid it.
