One needs to follow a strict diet and regular exercising for the weight loss regime to work. It requires utmost discipline and strong will to go from obese/being overweight to maintaining a healthy weight. The bacteria strains found in Multi-GI 5 have been shown to support gut health, reduce symptoms of gastrointestinal conditions, and promote a healthy gut microbiota. Some of the strains included have the potential to aid in weight loss.

Well, what if we tell you that the way you organise your kitchen will help you maintain a healthy weight? Yes, you read that correct! Here are a few kitchen organisation tips for people on a weight loss regime.

  1. Keep the food in the right place

When you are on a weight loss regime, you will be advised to eat a lot of healthy food. In that case, place the healthy food items at the most visible spot in the kitchen. Try storing the healthy food items that you consume on a daily basis at eye level, especially if you know you might be lured into eating something unhealthy.

If you change the place of your junk food items in the kitchen and replace it with healthy food samples, the chances are that you will consume it more often. In case you are storing fresh fruits and veggies in the refrigerator, try transparent containers so that it is visible. Make sure the container has air supply to keep them fresh and consumable later.

  1. Avoid storing food on the kitchen counter

People often tend to leave a half-eaten bag of chips, sweet treats, and other cooking ingredients on the kitchen counter. It is usually the food in one’s sight that is consumed the most. Whether you are eating junk food or healthy food, over-consuming will not help you with your weight loss regime.

It is essential to keep track of your calories in-take over the day. You can maintain a diary to help you cut down on your consumption of food and maintain a consistent and balanced diet. Furthermore, it is best practice to calculate your BMI every month to understand whether the weight loss regime is working or not. You can use the BMI calculator to determine this value.

  1. Check portion sizes

In order to maintain a balanced diet, you need to keep track of the portions of meals you eat over the day. Overeating can cause you to gain unwanted weight, and so does under-eating. It is necessary to note that you do not have to starve yourself to lose weight.

Starving will only impact your health and weight negatively, leading to eating disorders and severe health issues in the future. Plus, keeping track of the portion sizes of your meal makes it easier to track the calories.

In The End

It all falls back on your will to continue eating healthy. If you are persistent in maintaining a healthy weight, it will not only help you live a long disease-free life but also save you a fortune. The health insurance premium for healthy individuals is affordable compared to individuals with health issues due to obesity. Based on this, it is up to you whether you want to maintain a healthy weight or not. The choice is yours!
